Kassandra and COP30
Today marks the opening of COP30 in Belém, Brazil. As the global community gathers in the Amazon-region city of Belém for this pivotal climate summit, one of the central pillars is Adaptation & Resilience. The conference aims to define measurable indicators and targets for the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) — the framework established under the 2015 Paris Agreement to enhance adaptive capacity, bolster resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate-impacts.
Fully aligned with COP30’s program in Brazil, Kassandra puts Adaptation & Resilience at the heart of action — turning the GGA from pledge to practice for cities and critical infrastructure facing heat, floods, drought and wind extremes. In particular, Kassandra supports urban resilience and UNESCO heritage sites, where adaptation is both environmental and cultural.
